When I had a full time job, Friday was usually the cherry on the cake. Now that I'm home most of the time, Friday is another day that is chock a block full of things I have to do. Yesterday, I accomplished 4 doctor appointments for well-child checks, car pool for daughter to and from Summer School 10 miles away, made 27 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner for 9 people), got the house vacuumed and the Laundry somewhat caught up. Today is equally as busy. My boys need haircuts, my girls need shorts mended and everyone needs Pizza tonight.
We are leaving on a one week summer camp on Sunday night. It's a kids summer camp and I will be doing the music program for the camp. We need to pack, get all our paperwork in order, get the stuff paid for and find all we will need for a week in the wilderness. Between that, I have to complete 3 jobs I have on my manifest. I have a small and not very profitable business right now. It used to be very profitable, but I was never home, and put on about 100K miles on my little car in a year's time. A year ago I gave up a lot of my work, and do just a bare minimum to keep the business alive. It's a trade off: time as a mom, or time as a crazy person. (Sometimes, those roles overlap).
